Brother Henry said, "Make Jesus Christ Lord of Your Life!"

I haven't written much here. I don't want to say or do anything unless I feel like the Lord Jesus is prompting me. My father-in-law, Rev. Dr. Henry O. Alloway, Jr, made one thing very clear in all the years I was blessed to know him. He ALWAYS wanted to lift up Jesus. I can't remember how many times I heard him say, "I just believe that you have to make Jesus Lord of all." or "If Jesus is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all." No matter what was happening, he would always tell people to surrender themselves to Jesus. I have tried to follow that bit of advice. I remember Brother Henry preaching about the wedding in Cana of Galilee. The host ran out of wine, and Mary, Jesus' mother, went to Jesus with the problem. When He agreed to help, Mary turned to the servants and said, "Whatever He tells you, do it." Brother Henry would say, "That's the best advice anyone has ever given." I'm not going to try here to say how one should go about doing that. There's a Bible verse which says, "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." [Philippians 2:12]

Although there is so much more which could be said, that is where I'm going to stop today. Make Jesus Christ Lord of your life.
